  • If zero were available that's what I would rate. We met Michele Bella and her supposed foster in Zephyrhills Park on 1/1/23 after several phone conversations to meet and greet "Molly" that we found on Petfinder. She told me before we drove 1.5 hrs to meet that we would not be able to take her that day due to her not be microchipped, spayed and 3rd round of vaccinations. We were not expecting to take her home that day after meeting, and told her that we would wait until all necessary vet checks were complete but came prepared (money and blanket), just in case. She asked if we liked her and wanted to go ahead and take her that day which we agreed after she said she agreed that she find a local vet near us to take care of the rest of her shots, etc. I signed a contract and she wrote on the bottom that her organization would be responsible for the final services. After we took the dog home, I texted her several names and even made the phone calls myself to the local vets and passed on the info to her and she said she would pass on them -- too expensive. I told her that I needed a record of her first two shots as proof for whatever vet I would take her too after finding a low cost place that is an hour from our home. She's not responded to me since the day after we brought the dog home. Many text messages have been unanswered and she does not answer her phone. She took our money and has not followed through with her end of the deal. In addition, our dog is still being advertised on your website. We love the dog, but now are having to pay additional expenses of having her spayed, microchipped and must start over with the first round of shots (according to some of the vets) since we have no record of her first 2 rounds. Had I read another review on this website, we may have had second thoughts. Please do your homework before adopting from her. She puts on a good show and said all the right things but can't be trusted.

  • If 0 stars were available for Destination Furever Home, she would get it. Michelle was SUPER shady. We saw 2 of her “rescued” puppies on a Sunday and agreed to adopt one of them. She said she would call us after the dog’s vet visit the next day. She called at 6:00 pm and expected us to pick up the puppy very late that night. We told her we wanted to wait until the next day so we wouldn’t be bringing it home right after shots and deworming to try to minimize trauma on the dog. At that point, she went a little psycho on us. She told us the dog was in several different homes and it wasn’t convenient for 3 days. We backed out and ultimately adopted another rescue. In our opinion, she is not in the rescue business for the right reasons and I worry about the welfare of the dogs. She herself told me that the shelters where she goes to “find” rescues dislike her. We thought that was odd. Her adoption fee was more than double other rescues and that was NOT including spaying. I would NEVER recommend her or her organization.
