  • It should not be this difficult to provide a loving and stable home to a shelter dog. I had viewed your available dogs in February after losing our beloved 14 year old Basset Hound in January. I saw several that caught my interest but we had the opportunity to adopt a Basset Hound that needed a home. I happened to look on Petfinder last week (November) and to my horror discovered that you still have quite a few of the same dogs from February. It was weighing heavily on me so I talked to my husband and we contemplated on adopting Hobbes. As there is absolutely no information about him on the website we had to drive over yesterday (Saturday) only to find out that dogs are by appointment only. PLUS we would have to fill out an adoption form for a CAT and if THAT was approved then Jason MAY decide what dog would be the best fit for us. However, Jason is only available a few days a week. We were then told we could go online and fill out an adoption form but I just spent an hour trying to find it with no luck. No wonder the poor dogs have been living in your shelter for ELEVEN months (the assistant told me)
