  • Poor people skills. Recommended a cuddly calm dog for my ongoing illness and anxiety. Dog became aggressive with my senior dog. Owner flat out denied that. Tried to make arrangements to meet at one of their halfway drop off locations and owner refused. Unpleasant and unreasonable attitude while I was trying to work with the situation as best as possible.

  • In short... I don't recommend this rescue. There are many other better rescues out there that know what they are doing. Be careful of this organization. We don't feel they have the best interest at heart for the animals they are trying to home. Specifically, they state they "prefer" but in reality, they REQUIRE you to commit to adopting the same day as a meet and greet which is not right. At that moment, you are filled with emotions and will want to take any dog home. But, if you want to guarantee that the dog will actually be going to a forever home, it's better to let the folks looking to adopt have at least 24 hour hours to consider and make a decision while not affected by adorable pups. I really do hope the pets they have find a good home, but this rescue is something special and has absurd requirements when they themselves know absolutely NOTHING about the animals. In our case, they haven't even seen the dog yet (other than a photo) and want to commit to adoption... we can't do that. We have a young kid and need to feel comfortable that the dog we bring home is going to be a lifelong companion and enjoy our family as much as we'll enjoy them.
